I have a new hero - chamomile.
On the outward appearance, the miniscule seed seemed meaningless. With some promise, perhaps. Despite all odds, though, it survived what chamomile should not - the sun and the thunderclouds, the drought and the rain, even the frost. It blossomed, it grew strong and it produced. It became a home to bees and beetles, giving shade to the ground. And as it blossomed, it filled the air with fresh, soft perfume. It became a healer to whoever picked its flowers.
When you sit on the ground next to a chamomile plant with an empty bowl ready to pick, the air is sweet and herbaceous. It is easy to dip into the moment and let go of worries and feel peace. I am forever amazed of the gifts nature gives. Like of the humble chamomile, and its gift of calm.
Be a chamomile.
